Buying Behavior of Russians in a Crisis: Expectations and Moods. What to do to make money in a crisis Goods in demand in a crisis

During a crisis, the purchasing power of a significant part of the population is significantly reduced. For this reason, many goods and services become unclaimed. Therefore, all entrepreneurs need to know what is profitable to sell in a crisis. At a time when there is a difficult economic situation, people concentrate their spending on goods and services that cannot be dispensed with.

To achieve high business efficiency in a crisis, it is enough to make a list of essential goods, and then find out in which segment there is a shortage in your city or region. The scale of activity is limited only by the type of products and the amount of start-up capital.

Business in crisis - what to open so as not to miscalculate?

First of all, entrepreneurs are interested in what exactly to do in a crisis so as not to burn out. A few examples are given below. All these types of businesses have one thing in common - it is the provision of services and goods that consumers need, regardless of the current economic situation.

Foodstuffs

Food remains a commodity of prime necessity at any time. Despite the crisis, people continue to eat. Of course, selling delicacies and expensive products, it will be problematic to get high incomes. If you are thinking about opening a business in which you definitely won’t burn out and won’t lose, then pay attention to the sale of food products. With a small capital, you can organize.

The most profitable will be the sale of inexpensive cereals. Accordingly, the purchase must be made at wholesale bases at the lowest possible prices, which will require certain costs. Also, the right decision would be to conclude an agreement with bakeries for the supply of inexpensive and social types of bakery products. To ensure low cost, it is better to buy vegetables from farmers directly.

It will take some time to establish business contacts, but buyers will flow to those who can provide a lower cost. Fewer competitors - less cost of goods for the store, which increases the benefits. To evaluate the order of current expenses, pay attention to. In a crisis, it is risky to acquire such an institution, but if you choose the right place, the number of customers will be quite large.

Medicines

Medicines and devices from the healthcare sector are something that will always be in demand. They say that money cannot buy health, but no one wants to do without the help of appropriate means. This is a profitable direction that does not lose customers at any time. It would not be an exaggeration to say that today medicines are a commodity that is among the essentials. Open a personal pharmacy or even a small network. No one wants to save on their health, so the sale of medicines does not decrease even in the most difficult crisis, and sometimes, on the contrary, it shows a certain increase.

Hygiene items

Among the essential goods, personal hygiene items can also be distinguished. During a crisis, the level of sales of such goods may slightly decrease, but this only affects expensive products imported from abroad. In addition, consumers prefer to replace it with affordable domestic counterparts. Among personal care products, laundry detergents, toothpastes, shampoos, cleaning products, deodorants and perfumes show the highest sales. Firms selling such goods are able to survive any crisis if they have products at affordable prices on their shelves. It is beneficial to arrange periodic, not timed to public holidays. For example, give small discounts on a certain day of the week.

Profitable business in times of crisis

Even in a crisis, you can start a profitable business that will bring a stable income. Demand for expensive goods is falling, however, repairing electronics, purchasing components, etc. show large volumes. Instead of acquiring new goods, many people prefer to repair existing ones.

auto parts

During a crisis, many people refrain from buying new cars, so trading in spare parts in such economic conditions is very profitable. The first step is to evaluate the segment in your region. You can organize the implementation both in your store and online. First of all, it is worth expanding the range, but it is not worth buying parts for expensive models, since they are purchased at the appropriate centers. The only way to avoid waste of working capital is to purchase the relevant items only on pre-order.

Advice: during a crisis, those who can offer a wide range of products both in terms of price and product range make good money. In an auto parts store, it is advantageous to put stands with a variety of technical fluids, consumables, engine oils, etc.

In a crisis, an auto parts store is a great option for a small town. This business in the process of development can be developed to cover several market segments. For example, add a small car repair shop where you can immediately install the necessary part or create a point for car washing. In the latter case, the best option would be the one that provides for self-service, and hence the lower cost of the service.

It should be noted that the trade in spare parts for cars is the most profitable investment option in times of crisis. Many can open such a business, but there are no fundamental requirements for those who will be directly involved in trade. This allows you to hire several workers on a piece-rate scheme - to organize a certain minimum rate with an additional payment for successful transactions. At the same time, you can independently engage in the development of another direction.

building materials

After a strong increase in the value of the currency, imported building materials have risen in price significantly, and their purchase has become unprofitable. At the same time, the need for appropriate materials has not changed. The organization of a business for the production of building materials in 2016 will provide a large number of orders, but this will require maintaining the quality of products at a high level. To do this, you will need to purchase expensive equipment, although for certain types of production in this business segment, you can limit yourself to small expenses.

The biggest crisis in the construction segment is expected at the end of 2016, when the construction of a number of large facilities is completed. In a crisis, the purchase of real estate is one of the most noticeable trends. Developers are reacting to this by increasing the volume of work and starting to create multi-storey buildings with a small area of individual apartments, which is more profitable with a low level of income among the population. In addition to them, private individuals are also engaged in construction, preferring to hire a small team of workers and purchase building materials from local manufacturers who offer goods at a lower cost. The absence of the need for expensive delivery also plays a role.

What sells well in a crisis?

In a crisis, everyone is looking for better quality goods at a lower cost. If you know the relevant market, you can earn your income from intermediary transactions. Of course, in a difficult time from an economic point of view, it will not be possible to make a large margin, but with the correct organization of the process, the turnover will be really large.

Chinese products

Many people know that in China you can remotely purchase most goods at reduced prices. This situation in the market of consumer goods is due to the lower cost of labor, when compared with our state. Thus, we can talk about a lower cost in this production. Today, Chinese manufacturers at low cost offer children's toys, shoes, clothing, various production equipment, electronics and other products.

This gives us the opportunity to earn on the sale of goods from China. The simplest method is dropshipping - that is, acting as an intermediary between the seller and the buyer. The difference from trade lies in the fact that you do not purchase goods and do not provide storage and delivery, but are exclusively engaged in the search for buyers. To engage in this type of business, it is enough to open your own online store, as well as resell goods from Chinese suppliers. This list will help you.

Cloth

Regardless of the crisis, things continue to wear out and people need to update their wardrobe. If you are in doubt about what products will sell well in a crisis, open a clothing store and you won't regret it. There are certain differences between the clothing market and the food sector. There are people who prefer to wear out old things, in extreme cases, giving them in for repair. Nevertheless, a strong drop in demand is not observed.

There is a redistribution of the level of sales across different segments: medium-level goods are being bought less often, while cheap and expensive clothes, on the contrary, are being purchased more often. Since clothing items lose their versatility, in a crisis, citizens try to spend less on one set, but in total, specialized stores still receive quite a large profit.

The maximum income is received by those who provide the widest range. You can create used, inexpensive, mid-range, and high-end departments. Neighborhood of second-hand retail and expensive clothes can show high efficiency if the sales area is properly organized. This business is thriving even in the toughest economic conditions.

What services are in demand in a crisis?

In a crisis, you can sell not only goods, but also certain services. Consulting is becoming especially relevant, but it is important to choose a popular direction and convey information about your services to potential customers. This can be done even with minimal investment. Also, a good result shows the combination of services with the sale of thematic goods.

Services and goods for festive and mourning rituals

Regardless of the crisis, people are born, they organize marriages, celebrate the birth of children, birthdays, die. These processes cannot be slowed down or completely canceled, since they are an integral part of human life. For this reason, the business with the provision of funeral goods and services is in stable demand. Almost anyone can open such a business, even in the absence of experience.

This is the easiest way to start your own business with a minimum investment in 2016. Prior to the immediate start of work, it is necessary to clearly define a specific area of activity. Part of the funeral goods can be taken with payment upon sale, which makes it possible to save on individual purchases. If you start offering customers a high-level service, quality goods, you can get high profits even in a crisis.

Training of crisis managers

During a crisis, many business owners hope to find special managers to reorganize activities during difficult times in the economy. They change the basic principles of the operation of the enterprise so that the enterprise can receive greater benefits in the changed conditions. There are quite a few such specialists in our state, so many managers are forced to go to the appropriate courses on the instructions of the management. If you have personal knowledge in the relevant field or you know a person who can become a teacher in this direction, consider that 2016 will be profitable for you.

It is quite easy to organize such courses, while the benefits from this type of activity are especially high today. Knowledge and experience is a commodity that is constantly in demand. Professionals in any field are valued by businessmen for their experience in a particular type of activity.

Advice A: You can organize a whole group of training courses, as well as actively attract customers. To expand the reach of the audience, it is advisable to create a platform on the Internet, through which you can provide paid information to a huge number of customers.

What to trade in the crisis of 2016 in a small town?

Small towns have their own specifics. On the one hand, large players are often absent from such markets, on the other hand, customers are divided among existing enterprises, and under normal conditions it is not a trivial task to lure them away. In a crisis, the cost of goods comes first. Offer a lower price for analogues or take a place in a new direction.

Goods for children

During the crisis, the demand for high-quality goods for the child remains, which makes this direction very profitable. All parents intend to give their own children the best. Individual fathers and mothers, who are forced to spend even more time at work and in order to provide a more comfortable environment, try to compensate for the lack of their own attention to them. Today there is an increase in sales of children's goods. If you ask experts what is better to sell in a crisis, you can get different answers, but the sale of toys, clothing and hygiene products for children will sound quite often.

If you want to open up, then relying on children's clothing is a risky choice. Many people do not refuse used clothes, while new things are usually very expensive. It is not worth completely abandoning the corresponding segment, however, there is no need to significantly expand the range, because the benefit will be concentrated in other sections of this group of goods.

Alcoholic products

In times of crisis, the issue of stress relief and leisure comes to the fore. Alcoholic products are not the last place in this, so you can organize a profitable business on this, which will be popular both in large and small cities. If you are significantly limited in capital, then it is better to choose the latter option, as this will provide lower rental costs, and will also make it possible to avoid strong competition from large retail chains.

Today, the state is introducing a number of measures to combat counterfeit products. This is beneficial for a novice entrepreneur, as it allows an honest business to stay afloat. Despite the crisis of 2016, the alcohol trade remains profitable and can be considered as one of the key areas for starting a business with minimal investment. Before starting the sale of alcoholic products, it is necessary to issue the appropriate permits and familiarize yourself with the legal acts affecting this market segment. With the right organization, a business selling alcoholic beverages can be very profitable. Last but not least is the choice of location for your store.

During a crisis, it is profitable to trade essential products, as well as provide services that save money. However, they can be combined within the same business. Using the example of selling auto parts and arranging a self-service car wash at a car wash store, other types of business can be considered. An excellent option is to organize various courses, including those on starting your own business. Many are looking for opportunities to earn more and reduce spending. Based on an understanding of the current market situation, it is possible to occupy a niche with low competition and high development potential. It is enough just to assess the market.

Large intermediaries in a crisis are experiencing real economic stress, because in order to reduce costs and increase financial benefits from them, they are the first to get rid of them in the producer-seller-consumer chain. At the same time, the organization of such a low-cost intermediary as dropshipping can become a truly profitable business. You can also get your own small farm. Today is a profitable idea. Merchants should expand the range of available goods, since most of the population refuses expensive goods during a crisis. At the same time, they cannot be completely excluded from circulation. There should always be 10-15% of high-quality goods that will be bought from you, regardless of the crisis.

The bad economic situation in the country is not a reason to "hang your nose" and lose heart. There are many examples when large companies started their journey at the most unfavorable time for business. A crisis is a time of great opportunities, a time of real “cleansing”. Weak entrepreneurs who did not think about business development leave the market, making room for new players.

Today we will consider the 11 most profitable and “not killed” business ideas that work great and bring profit to the owner, despite the crisis in the economy.

Lotteries and bookmakers

When there is a crisis in the yard, people begin to believe in luck more. The state of low income and lack of work forces people to make adventurous decisions and literally throw the rest of their money down the drain. Therefore, any business related to the sale of lotteries, bookmakers, auctions - all this works with super profits. To organize a sports betting business, it is not at all necessary to have large capital and go through a rigorous registration and licensing procedure. Today, many major bookmakers are developing their own franchise networks in Russia and the CIS. Therefore, for a nominal fee of 200 - 350 thousand rubles. you can join the network and open a betting shop in your city. The only significant pitfall is strict regulation by the state. Here you will not guess when the government decides to close the “shop” by issuing another law. I think everyone remembers what happened to gambling clubs that brought hundreds of percent of the profits to their owners.

Pharmacy business

The pharmacy business, despite the oversaturation of the market, shows high profitability in a period of unstable economic situation. In our city, many well-known pharmacy chains have only increased the number of retail outlets over the past couple of years. The reason is clear - people start to get sick more due to stress and frustration (they were fired from their jobs, their salaries were lowered, they are afraid of layoffs). The number of people with heart problems, diabetes, indigestion, etc. is growing. Accordingly, trips to the pharmacy are becoming more frequent. Investing in a pharmacy business can be intimidating. However, it is not at all necessary to open a large store. At the start, you can limit yourself to a small pharmacy kiosk. Another option is to open a franchise.

Bakery products

Food is an eternal theme. It has long been known that when people's incomes decrease, they switch to cheaper food. In the diet, the number of bakery products increases: bread, pies, rolls, donuts, cookies. I noticed that in our city the number of stalls selling bread and flour products has increased significantly. In the place where I buy bread, instead of one kiosk, there are now four. And everyone, you know, is enough. After work, you have to stand in line to buy bread.

How much money do you need to open a bakery

To open a bread kiosk, you will need to invest approximately 300 - 500 thousand rubles, or even less. It is not necessary to rent or buy a capital structure. It is possible, for example, to purchase a mobile trailer (Kupava) and arrange an exit trade by taking a permit from the local administration. There is less paperwork, and you can earn almost immediately. The product can be purchased from local bakeries or open your own production. True, this is a completely different investment.

Auto repair shop, service station

Like products, car repairs are "not a killable topic." Despite the crisis, there are more and more cars, and those that are are aging and breaking down more often. In our city, service stations and car repair shops are at every turn. At the same time, everyone works successfully, and you can get in only by appointment. Haven't heard of anyone closing or leaving the market. Tire fittings, body repair, auto electrics - all this is relevant. And at the same time, these ideas do not require a large initial capital. You can even start in "garage" conditions. The main difficulty is to find good masters. Well, if you yourself know how to work with equipment - you and the flag in your hands.

Anti-crisis car wash

Self-service car washes- a new type of service in the automotive theme. The idea came to us from the West, but before the crisis it did not develop very much. Now, when people think more about saving, such services will flourish. Many will prefer to wash their car on their own, as the savings are almost double (about 150 rubles instead of 300 rubles). Read business forums, where many speak of good prospects for self-service car washes. Some post photo-reports where you can see the queue for such a sink.

How much money do you need to invest to open a self-service car wash

The only disadvantage of this idea is the high investment to start the business. To open even a small car wash for three posts, with all the approvals, you will have to pay at least 1.5 million rubles. Not everyone has that kind of money, especially in times of crisis.

Microfinance organization

According to some reports, over the past three years, the demand for microloans up to 30,000 rubles. increased three times. There are a number of reasons for this, including those related to the economic situation in the country. Interest on loans in large banks has grown, appeared with falsity with their receipt. While a microloan can be issued without leaving home, without references and proof of income.

How much money do you need to invest to open microloans

To open your own microfinance organization it is enough to invest no more than 500 - 1000 thousand rubles. And the investment pays off quickly. Judge for yourself. Loans are issued at an average of 2% per day.

How much can you earn on microloans

That is, taking a loan of 30,000 r. in a month, the client will have to return 48,000 rubles. Profit 18 000 rubles! It is clear that not all clients are conscientious. But, as practice shows, only 15% do not repay the debt. In this case, debts can always be sold to collectors. In any case, the company remains in good nail.

Export of goods abroad

During the period of the “expensive” dollar, the business of selling certain types of goods abroad is quite profitable. For example, recently our citizens have begun to actively sell honey and other food products to China. There is good news for traders of various small things on the Internet: ebay coordinates simplified rules for exporting goods from Russia to the USA and Europe with the customs and post of Russia. That is, it will be much more profitable to sell felt boots, hats and handicrafts to the “bourgeois”. The only danger is that someday oil will rise, the ruble will rise in price, which will reduce the export benefit of some goods.

funeral services

Funeral services business does not depend on the crisis phenomena in the country. People can save on expensive purchases, entertainment, recreation, food, but they will not refuse to spend on a decent burial. At any time of the year, the demand for funeral services remains high. Oddly enough, but the worse the times, the higher the profit in this area. At the same time, it is not necessary to open a funeral services bureau with all the complexities of conducting this activity. According to some reports, more than 80% of funeral companies are not manufacturers. That is, they buy the same coffins from manufacturers or resellers. In this case, it would be an excellent idea to organize your own production of coffins. For example, from fiberboard using the hot forming method. The entrance ticket to such a business is 300,000 rubles, and the number of staff is only 4 people. Production can be organized even in the open air. There are companies that can supply ready-made blanks, from which coffins will already be knocked together. Margin on products - 100%.

Economy class hairdressing salon

Hairdressing services are always relevant. Well, who can refuse a haircut or hairstyle, except perhaps a very poor person. Therefore, we can say with confidence that such a business is not subject to a crisis. However, just the crisis can affect elite hairdressers and beauty salons. And here economy class hairdressing salons, where for only 150 - 200 r. you can get a quality haircut - will be in high demand. Although this is not a super profitable business, the idea is definitely not a failure and will work regardless of the situation in the country.

Cinema

Despite the fact that the entertainment industry is going through hard times, such mass budget entertainment as watching movies in cinemas, on the contrary, is in good demand. People get tired of gray everyday life, problems at work, negative news and want to get something magical for the soul. And they find this solace in the cinema. A budget 3-d cinema is a good business idea in times of crisis. Such activity is not subject to licensing. You only need to purchase a license to rent films. Rental organizations, as a rule, work on a 50/50 basis. That is, you keep 50% of the box office receipts for yourself, and give the rest to the license holder.

Step-by-step plan for opening a small cinema

No big investment is required to start a business. You can open a very small cinema for 12 spectators. The required floor space is only 18 square meters. m. In fact, a cinema can be opened in an apartment setting (on the ground floors of apartment buildings). If at least 50 people visit such a cinema every day, and each leaves 300 rubles, then the monthly revenue will be 450,000 rubles. Of this amount, half will go to pay for the rental of the film, approximately 10% for rent, 15% for salaries and 5% for other expenses.

How much can you earn by opening a small cinema

That is, the net profit will be approximately 90 - 100 thousand rubles. per month. This is not a bad amount, considering that the cost of opening a mini-cinema for 12 seats does not exceed 1 million rubles. Moreover, you can earn not only on entrance tickets, but also on the sale of strong drinks, popcorn, chips, etc. I would also like to mention an idea related to the cinema - opening a movie cafe. In such an institution, you can not only watch movies, but also give you the opportunity to play video games, smoke a hookah, play board games, and sing karaoke. Payment, however, is not for a specific service, but for the time spent in the institution. On average, this is 100 rubles. per hour per person.

driving school

Another business that is not afraid of crisis and competition is driving schools. No matter how bad the income is, the flow of young people in need of a driver's license does not dry up. Moreover, if 15 - 20 years ago, for the most part, only men went to training, today exactly half of future drivers are women. Naturally, this only increased the number of clients from existing driving schools. Moreover, due to innovations in the law, the minimum period of study in driving schools has increased, which led to an increase in prices. Today, in order to obtain the rights, you will need to spend at least 50,000 rubles. only for training (theory and practice). This is huge money. It turns out that from a small group of 20 people you can get 1,000,000 rubles! And how many people want to study in your city? It's thousands of people.

Step-by-step plan for opening a driving school

To open a driving school, you will need to rent a room, accreditation from the traffic police and a staff of instructors (with whom you can negotiate for a percentage). As a student class, a room with an area of 35 - 50 square meters is suitable. m. There is even such an option as to open an online driving school. You can also learn theory remotely, and practical classes will be conducted by licensed driving schools in a particular region (you can agree with them for a certain percentage). This will save on renting a room and arranging a student class. In fact, a business can be opened from scratch. The main thing is to correctly advertise the service and find good performers (teacher and instructors). There are companies that offer to open an online franchise driving school. But you can invest not only in a business or open your own business. Even in a crisis, it is realistic to invest money in real estate or cars, while receiving passive income. What to invest in and how to do it, you can learn by reading new book Territories of Investment. Do you want to establish a stable cash flow, but do not know how? You have the opportunity to become completely financially independent in a few years. Find out, how to invest money wisely and act.

Hello dear readers. Today we’ll talk about business during the 2019 crisis and share a small selection of relevant business ideas in an unstable time of crisis. If you have your own ideas, we are waiting for them in the comments below the article.

What to open a business in a crisis

This is probably the main question for everyone who wants to make money during the crisis. Let's see what successful entrepreneurs have to say about it.

Founder and owner of Tinkoff Bank.

According to Oleg Tinkov, in times of crisis, special attention should be paid to the medical field and everything connected with it. With a reasonable approach, startups that are focused on the production of dietary supplements, medicines, equipment for clinics and pharmacy chains can be profitable. Little competition and growing demand creates ideal conditions for private medical institutions and the hospital sector.

In the absence of large initial investments, Oleg Tinkov advises to pay attention to the promising market for the development of applications for gadgets and online consulting. The businessman rightly believes that Russia is noticeably behind many world developments in the field of medicine and care for them by 15–20 years, and there are a lot of opportunities for copying for newcomers.

A good income in the future can be provided by investments in medical development and R&D. The only problem is the high cost and long payback period of such business projects, and in Russia they are not used to doing this.

Founder and owner of companies such as Dymovskoye Sausage Production, Suzdal Ceramics, Respublika (a chain of bookstores) and Rubezh (cafes and restaurants).

The owner of a network of well-known companies believes that in these crisis conditions it is better to start business projects related to import substitution. A hint will be provided by an analysis of the trade market and customs statistics over the past few years. It may be some types of food, the demand for which has been stable. He believes that the crisis has not changed either people or officials.

Vadim Dymov is convinced that it is possible to reach financial peaks by opening new projects in agriculture. As an option, he proposes using state land shares in the Far East to grow soybeans, which can be exported to China. A risky but simple business can bring significant profits.

The businessman does not rule out success when opening startups in the field of machine-building logistics and components for assembling units. He claims that there are absolutely free niches for the development of medium and small businesses in small towns far from Moscow. Why not open a carpentry shop to produce excellent domestic furniture? Suddenly? But it is very pleasant to create and use your own, to raise your own brand.

Founder and owner of the network of pizzerias "Dodo Pizza".

According to Fedor Ovchinnikov, the time of crisis is a period that is favorable for opening almost any business. After all, this crisis simply forms a new one from the usual coordinate system, and life continues to go on as usual. Only the rules of the game change, and it becomes important not “what”, but “how” to act in the new conditions.

Fedor Ovchinnikov is confident that Mercedes will be in demand even during the crisis. The main thing is to find an optimal and competitive business model in order to win in modern conditions.

Fedor Ovchinnikov suffered a major setback early in his financial career. His first book sales project turned out to be unprofitable and failed, but only helped the businessman develop a new strategy. Now the entrepreneur treats the beginning of each of his business as if there is a severe crisis in the yard. He immediately asks himself a reasonable question: “What will happen to his business project when everything goes bad, even if at this stage everything is fine?” He rightly believes that it is in this difficult and new time that a healthy and strong business can be formed in the country.

Founder and owner of the Expedition company.

According to entrepreneur Alexander Kravtsov, now is a great time for any new undertakings. Here it is important to invest your soul in a business project and maintain good spirits. If you do not hide and do not retreat, then everything can turn out to be an excellent and profitable business.

Alexander Kravtsov believes that there are no crises. Now there are a lot of markets that are losing money. But there are many enterprises that are simply overwhelmed with stable orders. For example, the only Russian company manufacturing backpacks is loaded at full capacity.

The businessman believes that interesting and relevant topics for a new business are food and tourism development.

It is better to become more active in those financial niches where foreign investments have left. But he recommends being more careful with fixed items of expenditure. Serious changes are taking place in the market in favor of the employer: many active and qualified specialists are being released who can be useful for new projects.

Alexander Kravtsov believes that a businessman in a crisis should become a cynic: do not pay high rents, do not pay inflated premiums and do not invest in dubious projects.

TOP - 15 business ideas in a crisis

Below we have collected 15 small business ideas in a crisis. This is not all that can be discovered in an unstable economic situation, so we will try to supplement the article. Including your ideas, which you leave in the comments!

You can also get useful information from the article about.

Business idea number 1 - Opening an online store

Upfront costs- from 200 000 rubles.

The general essence of the proposed idea is the development and organization of an online store, the sale of goods through the site, its delivery to customers using a courier service or regular mail. The relevance of such a project is confirmed by numerous economic analysis of the market. The service is more and more in demand among buyers of the middle age category, and the monthly growth of the market speaks of its prospects.

When planning to open an online store for women's or children's clothing, the owner faces the following costs:

 • expenses for the development and technical support of the smooth operation of the site;
 • salary of administrator, courier;
 • if necessary, rent a warehouse;
 • transportation costs for the purchase of goods.

The rent for the premises of a stationary store is replaced by the content of the site, the purchase of software, advertising costs.

The average percentage of profitability of knitwear and clothing stores is at the level of 20-25%. With investments in the purchase of goods of more than 200,000 rubles, the monthly net profit can be from 40,000 rubles. By actively promoting an online store, analyzing the assortment and costs, you can pay back such a project in 4-6 months.

Business idea number 2 - Opening a street fast food

Estimated cost of the project- 275,000 rubles.

The essence of the idea is the opening of a small outlet for the manufacture and sale of a certain type of snacks and drinks to the consumer. Unlike the usual shawarma and hot dogs, the project proposes to develop a range based on sandwiches with nutritious and tasty fillings, classic or closed sandwiches. The relevance of the idea lies in the constant demand for fast food products. During the crisis, people are less likely to go out to restaurants and are increasingly opting for quick and inexpensive street food.

It is better to open such a stationary point in places with a large flow of people: near metro stations or bus stops, shopping arcades, higher educational institutions. Main costs:

 • rent of a place of trade;
 • purchase of a stall, tent or trailer;
 • purchase of thermal and refrigerating showcases, equipment for work.

If we base the calculation of the approximate income on a daily turnover in the region of 8,000 rubles, then we can talk about an average monthly revenue of 240,000 rubles. With a profitability of 30% set in the price, such street fast food will pay for itself in 5 months. You can increase the influx of customers by adding dishes with non-standard ingredients, offers for vegetarians or healthy food connoisseurs who have difficulty finding a decent catering outlet.

Business idea number 3 - Opening a pancake cafe on wheels

Initial investment- 400,000 rubles.

The business idea is based on the equipment of a pancake baking point, the organization of the production of special fillings, and the sale of this original fast food to the buyer. There are quite a few companies on the market offering a delicious product, so the competition in the sector is high. By relying on non-standard products for fillings, beautiful serving, excellent taste, you can get a stable profit and regular customers.

To organize the process, it is better to choose a mobile point that can be moved when changing the place of trade, transported to participate in events and public holidays. Its equipment will become the main cost item for opening a pancake cafe.

Successful development of production is possible in the case of:

 • a wide range of interesting fillings;
 • staff professionalism;
 • correct choice of location.

In most of these enterprises, the margin level is 80-100%, which fully covers utility bills, all costs and gives a stable profit. We can talk about full self-sufficiency only after a few months due to the initially low cost of this product, a lot of competition.

Business idea number 4 - Bakery and confectionery

Approximate investment amount- 1,000,000 rubles.

It is worth noting that people will always want to eat, in connection with this, opening a business in the field of catering during a crisis period becomes relevant, even when the economy is not all right in the country. Small firms that combine the functions of a bakery and a store are gaining popularity in large cities. An interesting assortment and a pleasant homely atmosphere can attract buyers with different incomes. The essence of this idea is the design and opening of a fully equipped enterprise that is engaged in baking and selling bakery and confectionery products to the consumer.

To accommodate a bakery and pastry shop, it is necessary to carefully select a place with good traffic. Ideally, if there is a shopping center, bus stop or office block nearby. The project can be developed in two directions:

 • a simple bakery and confectionery with a sales area;
 • a bakery with a small cafeteria for visitors.

The first option is more economical in terms of investment and requires less time to organize. With a good location, a bakery can serve 300 - 800 visitors a day, each of which will make a purchase in the amount of 200 - 400 rubles. The approximate profitability of a small enterprise without a cafeteria is 20%. With such volumes of trade, the costs of opening a bakery and confectionery will pay off in less than 10-12 months.

Business Idea #5 – Opening an Outsourcing Company

Minimum investment- 550,000 rubles.

The essence of such a project is the creation of an outsourcing company that provides various services to third parties for a fee. As the main specialization, you can choose accounting or legal business support, solving financial or IT issues, creating an external call center to work with orders. The market for such outsourcing firms is just emerging, making the business project relevant. During a crisis, many companies reduce staff and it is more profitable for them to outsource tasks.

To organize and start work, it is necessary to solve two specific tasks:

 • rent of a convenient office space in the central part of the city;
 • attracting real professionals in the chosen field to the staff.

In addition to the initial costs of renting and decorating an office, it is necessary to invest part of the funds in advertising and maintenance of life in the first months of formation. Work with clients is carried out on the basis of a special contract. The cost of services is calculated individually for each working situation. Much attention must be paid to the quality and completeness of the work. This will help in attracting regular customers and increasing the level of profitability of the outsourcing company.

Business Idea #6 - Opening a Canteen

Minimum investment- 1,000,000 rubles.

The essence of the project is the opening of a small catering establishment in the format of a city canteen. Her services will be in demand among people with different incomes: students, pensioners, business travelers. Such budget canteens have a stable demand and show low competition even in large cities.

After choosing the format of work, you should decide on the room. It must fully meet certain technical requirements. The best option would be to rent a former catering establishment or a spacious hall near the station, universities, shopping malls.

The main cost items can be:

 • refurbishment of the premises for visitors;
 • purchase of kitchen and commercial equipment;
 • training and maintenance of the team.

It is considered optimal to accommodate up to 50 visitors at the same time. Workload varies depending on the time of the working day. The average indicator is a patency of 50-60% with a check for 200-300 rubles. The daily income of a canteen with such a volume starts from 25,000 rubles. Taking into account all the overhead costs and the cost of renting a room, such a “delicious” business project can pay off in a year of stable operation.

Business idea number 7 - Business in the production of frame houses

Minimum investment- 500,000 rubles.

The essence of such a project is the development and implementation of a business idea for the construction of turnkey frame houses. The acquisition of small wooden houses is in demand among the middle class, which seeks to move closer to nature outside the city. Construction work from foundation to turnkey delivery does not exceed several months. The affordable amount of material costs makes frame houses a good investment.

To implement the project, it will be necessary to open several offices in different districts, which will accept orders and conclude contracts for the sale of finished objects. At the first stage, the main investments will be:

 • training and salaries of construction teams;
 • maintenance of staff in the office;
 • advertising expenses;
 • purchase of the necessary tool kits.

The level of profitability is calculated based on the cost of materials spent on the object. On average, one meter of living space costs 30-40 thousand rubles. It can be sold at a price of 70 thousand rubles, having received a net profit after the sale of a cottage or townhouse in the amount of up to 2 million rubles. Such a business can become profitable and bring a stable income, paying off after two completed projects.

Business idea number 8 - Opening an economy class hairdresser

The amount of capital investments- over 300,000 rubles.

The essence of the business idea is the opening of a small hairdressing salon that provides a full range of necessary services at affordable prices. Such a project will be relevant in large and medium-sized cities due to the constant demand of the population of different ages and incomes. By providing quality service at affordable prices for most customers, you can make a project with a stable income.

The bulk of the costs are for the purchase of specialized furniture, working equipment and cosmetics, the design and equipment of a hairdressing salon. Good traffic is ensured by its opening in a residential densely populated area next to a bus stop, shopping centers. For additional profit, you can:

 • to use the transfer of workplaces for rent instead of hired personnel;
 • invite representatives of related professions to sublease to increase the flow of customers (manicurists, make-up artists).

With an average check for a service of 250 rubles and servicing at least 16 visitors per shift, the payback period of investments is planned to be up to 18 months. Expanding the list of services, holding promotions and self-promotion will help improve the result, guaranteeing a profitability of 29%.

Business idea number 9 - Opening a pharmacy

Upfront costs- from 500 000 rubles.

The essence of the idea is the wholesale purchase of a wide range of medicines and the organization of a stationary pharmacy for the retail sale of these medicines to the population. Given the high demand for this type of product, even with the existing level of competition, the project can be a very profitable financial idea.

A good and stable profit in this line of business depends on the pricing policy, the choice of the most stable suppliers and location. A small pharmacy operating as a discounter will be in stable demand among the population of the residential area. Its opening is optimal near metro stations, transport stops or grocery supermarkets.

To implement the project, you will need:

 • specially converted non-residential premises;
 • personnel with appropriate education;
 • conclusion of contracts with trusted suppliers.

The profitability of a pharmacy is directly proportional to the turnover of medicines. Given the peculiarities of the legislation, entrepreneurs set high mark-ups for some groups of drugs. Additional income comes from the sale of medical equipment, hygiene items, baby food.

Business idea number 10 - Opening a children's commission store

Estimated investments- 300,000 rubles.

The general essence of the idea is the organization of a small store to accept goods for sale from customers with the aim of subsequent resale, taking into account a certain commission to the seller. This area of activity is growing rapidly. Quality baby products are in high demand, especially with financial austerity in many young families.

The main amount of expenses falls on the rent of a small room, its repair and equipping with commercial equipment, furniture and stands. The project does not require the purchase of items in wholesale warehouses, but an important component is constant advertising to attract potential buyers and sellers.

It is better to open a store in a densely populated area, near grocery supermarkets or children's clinics. Small investments will require:

 • colorful design of the facade;
 • the content of the site or groups in social networks;
 • staff salaries.

For such a project, economists consider a good profitability level of 12-15%. With a daily turnover of 15,000 rubles, the monthly net profit minus all expenses can be 30,000 rubles. Savings can be achieved by making such an enterprise a family business and not hiring outside employees.

Business Idea #11 – Opening Training Courses

The relevance of this idea lies in the fact that parents will not save on children even during an economic downturn. Private schools for learning foreign languages or preparing children for the Unified State Examination may not be affordable for some parents during a crisis, but budgetary private courses (individual or as part of a small group) are quite real.

Estimated investments depend on the scale of the business. You can purchase all the necessary interactive learning tools and organize training courses at home or rent an office space by the hour. The rest of the costs will go to advertising: in the social. networks, bulletin boards, newspapers, etc.

Business Idea #12 - Farm Products

During the crisis, many products in large supermarkets rise in price. During this period, the sale of farm products directly from the farmer becomes especially relevant. Having received all the necessary documents, you can organize a stationary point in the market or a mobile sale: milk, eggs, cottage cheese, pork, beef, poultry meat, etc.

Initial costs will depend on the scale of the business organization. You may need to purchase a special milk tanker, rent a sales pavilion, or hire a salesperson and driver. In addition, you can develop an individual design for your company, including the cost of branded stickers on cars and products.

Business idea No. 13 - Shop "all at one price"

Estimated investments- 700,000 rubles.

It is worth noting that all the stores on the market in this area "rose" during the crisis. In pursuit of the best price, people are trying to save as much as possible by increasingly visiting stores with a fixed price. The assortment will depend on your preferences, ranging from inexpensive products to household items.

You can purchase a franchise or open a store on your own. In any case, the essence will be the same. The costs will go to:

 • rental of premises;
 • purchase of commercial equipment;
 • the first batch of goods;
 • hiring employees.

As in any business, do not forget about the good location of the outlet: a busy street, a walkable area.

As a supplier, you can consider the option of purchasing goods from China.

Business idea No. 14 - Manufacturing business or import substitution

Import substitution- a key moment in the organization of business during the economic downturn. In addition, the policy of the state is entirely directed in this direction. There are many grants and third-party investments in the organization of production in our country. For some, this may be new, but goods can be transported not only from China, but also to China! Many foodstuffs there have a high price, and if you properly organize the delivery, but you can talk about a promising business.

In addition, during a crisis, imported products rise in price due to currency fluctuations. In this regard, the demand for domestic goods with stable acceptable prices is increasing. This is the basis for organizing a manufacturing business.

This may also include agricultural products(honey, nuts, meat, milk, cheeses, etc.), textile production, conservation(fish, cereals, vegetables, etc.), fresh vegetables and fruits and much more.

Business idea number 15 - Beauty salon at home

Estimated investments - 30 000.

The popularization of masters who will come to your home and prepare for important events has gained its relevance precisely in a crisis. Beauty salons do not reduce prices for their services, but private hairdressers, make-up artists, manicurists take much less money, besides, they do not have to share with the owner and pay rent.

All initial costs will go to the passage of special courses, the purchase of the necessary equipment and advertising. To prepare a portfolio, you can try your skills on close relatives, friends.

Conclusion

Now you know how to open a business in a crisis. These are not step by step instructions, just ideas. We will be happy to discuss with you in the comments the issues of small business in times of crisis and we are waiting for ideas from you that, in your opinion, can be started in Russia during the crisis.

And also take a look at the section -. There you will find even more collections of articles with business ideas.

In this material:

What ideas can be used for business in a crisis? Crisis times in Russia come not for the first time. Suffice it to recall the period of 2008, 1998, when the life of ordinary citizens was like survival, and hard times came for business. During the financial crisis, the state saves itself and its government, and ordinary citizens can only look for ways to earn money and develop.

Is crisis always synonymous with decline and regression? A large number of entrepreneurs started their business in times of crisis, and they achieved great success. In an environment where you can rely only on yourself, your knowledge and intuition, the best business idea matures. What kind of business to do in a crisis? Are there favorable areas for the activity of a novice entrepreneur?

The most relevant business in times of crisis

It is necessary to consider, think over and choose which business to open in a crisis, assessing the opportunities and the situation in a particular region. While in one region a small business in a crisis reduces salaries to employees, makes layoffs and exists at zero, in another region they open new individual entrepreneurs that work for profit. In order for a novice entrepreneur to understand what kind of business to do in a crisis, one should apply logic and select those areas whose position only benefits from the difficult financial condition of the country. There are such business ideas, and there are many of them.

No matter how there is a business in a crisis, people never cease to need food and treatment. Food is needed anytime, anywhere. When the financial tension in the country grows, people try to save on everything, especially on food. The economic situation is pushing retailers to remove delicacies and expensive products from the shelves, replacing them with cheap ones. The food sector is considered the least affected by the crisis. Business ideas related to food production are getting a good start and development.

Bakery production is an excellent example of a win-win option for opening an IP. A small bakery in a residential area with fresh pastries and competitive prices will provide a good turnover. The idea does not have to be innovative and creative - this does not affect success. A stably operating small enterprise that provides residents with inexpensive bread is doomed to success. It is important to understand what exactly people need in a crisis and how to cover this need at the lowest cost.

The sweet business is flourishing like never before during a crisis. The experience of the 90s showed that sweets, chocolates and sweets sell well in difficult times. It has to do with the psychology of a consumer who wants to sweeten up a hard life. Expensive gifts are replaced with boxes of chocolates, chocolates and confectionery.

A profitable business goes into crisis when it is possible to recognize an unoccupied niche, a product that consumers need, and set a competitive price. It is necessary to correctly calculate all the indicators, draw up a business plan and follow it carefully.

Sell your opportunities

Successful small business ideas are based on the management of financial resources. If a person has knowledge and experience in the field of consulting, but does not have the opportunity to invest on his own, then he may well sell his ideas and knowledge in consultations to businessmen and investors. In a crisis, ordinary people need new ideas on where to invest their savings, how to save them until the end of the economic downturn, etc. For this they are willing to pay. Consulting services are a great example of a small business in crisis that does not require a large initial investment.

Another working business idea is a car service. New cars are an illiquid commodity in a downturn, but old ones continue to break down. People do not have the opportunity to update old models, and they go to fix them. For the working class, in most cases, the car is not a means of luxury, but a means of survival. Someone starts to earn extra money in a taxi, someone gets an additional job related to the transportation of goods. Business development in a crisis in the field of auto repair has been popular since the early 90s. You can start repairing cars, gradually considering offers to buy a parts store or a car wash in your neighborhood.

Entrepreneurial women can organize their tailoring business. To do this, it is not necessary to rent a property - you can get by with a room in your own apartment. Since buying good clothes is becoming too expensive for the population, many are looking for an alternative way out and go to dressmakers to alter an old coat, make new trousers, a three-piece, a dress. Owning a business for women who can sew does not require any costs if you have the minimum necessary equipment.

Ideas for business in a crisis can be gleaned from the experience of Western colleagues. Companies in a crisis are trying to reduce costs by cutting salaries and headcount. By reducing the staff and rented space, they manage to emerge in difficult economic realities. At the same time, such companies use outsourcing services. Freelancing and outsourcing are becoming more and more popular these days. Companies hire an incoming specialist to service office equipment, and another company or a private worker who is ready to serve online for bookkeeping. When compiling an anti-crisis business plan, companies are actively looking for opportunities to save money. If you quickly navigate the needs of such companies, you can profitably sell your services.

Service business

Many ideas in a crisis are related to caring for the elderly and young children. Since most of the citizens, due to lack of money, are trying to get a part-time job or a second job, children and the elderly are left unattended, and care services are required for them. You can organize a fairly profitable business in the form of a private kindergarten. Few things bring so much joy and pleasure. There are more and more working mothers, and state children's institutions cannot cope with the volume.

Parents are forced to send their children to special groups where they will be looked after while they try to earn more money for the family. The situation is similar with older people who require special daily care. If earlier a person could afford to take care of elderly parents on his own, then in a crisis and lack of money, he will most likely go to work, and hire a specialist for them.

Actual business in the 21st century is the creation of a video blog. The most popular youtube platform allows anyone to create channels without restrictions and investments. All that is required of a blogger is to create popular content, get a large number of subscribers and start earning from advertising. This business is not easy, but with the right approach it is very profitable. Many girls and young people, opening a blog for entertainment, in times of crisis began to seriously consider it as a source of income.

Internet business is relevant in times of crisis more than ever. Online stores are becoming an alternative to regular shopping: those who want to save money order clothes and groceries online, and the owner receives his percentage without spending money on renting premises and staff. When choosing a direction for a store or a blog on the Internet, you need to evaluate what kind of business is currently relevant. For example, selling children's clothes or goods from China.

New in crisis

How to open a business in a crisis, what to do? Women who want to increase their income, in times of crisis, start selling cosmetics. Surprisingly, but true: in difficult economic times, girls buy more cosmetics than in calm, stable times. This phenomenon has a psychological explanation, and this must be used. Any enterprising girl will be able to open her own business in a crisis selling inexpensive skin and body care products.

Recently, online stores offering environmentally friendly tonics, handmade creams, soaps and hair masks have become widespread. Mastering a small home production of simple creams, gels and tonics is not so difficult.

You can start a business with home cooking in small batches, and then develop into your own store.

If a crisis has come, what should an active young man do? Start your own trading assistant business. Due to the onset of a difficult economic situation, people begin to sell their property in order to pay off debts or simply survive. Those who have at least once tried to sell property through an ad on the Internet have encountered a number of difficulties that can be skipped by hiring a sales assistant. For a small percentage of the transaction, this person will disseminate information on the necessary resources, organize the delivery of things from the seller to the buyer and receive favorable conditions for everyone. Owners are willing to pay for it. This is a relatively new business that is just coming into Russian reality.

Starting a business from scratch is very difficult, and especially in a crisis. It is during this period that network marketing flourishes, offering its adherents a high income without investment. The network business idea is as old as the world, but it gives obvious advantages to those who want to have unlimited earnings. In times of crisis, goods from the catalog are perceived better than in any other period, so you can and should start building your business on this.

Before you open your business in a crisis, you need to assess the situation on the market, understand the needs of people and identify open niches. They are always there, as needs grow and change. The most profitable small business is built on low costs and high demand. Think about what you can present to the market that others cannot. Doing business during a crisis is no more risky than at other times. You always need to be able to assess risks and calculate profitability. Those who keep their nose to the wind quickly switch to new things if they see problems ahead.

There are types of businesses that will be relevant at all times, for example the following:

 • grocery;
 • medical;
 • services sector;
 • car service.

But their success depends on how to develop and how to manage. The crisis is the time to think about how to start living by your own rules, which will not depend on the decisions of the state.

According to Rosstat, the average monthly accrued wages increased by 4.4% compared to August 2014. At the same time, prices in stores increased by an average of 11.2%, and in Moscow - by 12.6%, the largest increase, more than 60%, was observed for vegetables and fruits. Residents of Russia were forced to adapt to the changed situation, having developed the most appropriate strategy of purchasing behavior for themselves, which can be characterized by answering three main questions: what, where and how do they buy?

In order to understand what consumer behavior practices are typical for Russians during a crisis, the Mix Research marketing company conducted a study in October 2015 among residents of Russian cities with a population of more than 100,000 people aged 18 years and older, who are responsible for making a purchase decision staple food for the household (totally or equally with other family members). The survey was conducted in 52 cities of Russia, taking into account the size of the city, the federal district and the size of gender and age groups using the telephone interview method. A total of 713 people were interviewed.

What do Russians buy in a crisis? The most common purchase includes dairy products, meat (chilled beef, pork, etc.), bread and baked goods, vegetables and fruits. 40% of the respondents said that in the last 2-3 months they happened to not find their favorite products on the shelves in stores. These were mainly goods included in the list of sanctions: cheeses, dairy products (milk, kefir, cottage cheese, sour cream, cream), fruits and berries, sausages, cosmetics and hygiene.

It is important to note that 40% of those who did not find the product they needed refused to buy “substitutes”.

When choosing a store for basic purchases, Russian residents are guided not only by price, but convenient location is more important for them. They also note a wide range, the presence of promotions and sales, high quality and the ability to buy everything you need in one place. It is worth noting that men more often than women choose a store, focusing on the quality of goods, and women are more driven by promotions and sales.

TOP-4 stores where Russians make their main purchases are Magnit, Pyaterochka, Lenta, Auchan. The last two retailers are also the most recommended (NPS loyalty index is 23% and 24%, respectively), which cannot be said about Magnit and Pyaterochka.

Despite quite frequent shopping trips (43% of Russians visit stores more than 5 times a week, respectively, they adhere to the shopping model “buying in small parts during the week”), in general, the purchasing behavior of Russian residents remains in a saving mode: 30% last 2 -3 months began to save even more on food. At the same time, the average check (that is, the average amount spent on the purchase of basic goods for the whole family) cannot be called low: it is 1,598 rubles. Russians spend about 19 thousand rubles a month. Young people (18-24 years old) and pensioners (55-64 years old) spend the least, which can be explained by at least two reasons: lower income relative to other age groups, as well as the current or already absence of minor children (see Figure 4). The decision on everyday purchases in the family is made most often jointly, as 52.6% of all respondents say, that is, the traditional model of the family, where a woman is, in K. Levin's terms, some kind of "gatekeeper", is gradually becoming a thing of the past.

Over the past 2-3 months, the most common practices of purchasing behavior aimed at saving for Russians have been buying products on sale or on sale, buying less often or even refusing some products (35% of respondents began to do this), buying only the most necessary, and also making lists and strictly following them (see Figure 5). Sausages, fish and seafood, meat, confectionery, mostly with a short shelf life, cheeses and fruits were included in the list of "rejected" goods or those that began to be bought less often.

Russians over the age of 55 are more likely than others to go to the store less often and spend their accumulated savings on food. It is important to note that only 20% of the respondents in the last 2-3 months were not characterized by any of the above listed behavioral practices aimed at saving.

There are three savings strategies characteristic of Russians: avoidance, reduction, substitution. “Avoidance” strategies are followed by 15% of the respondents, that is, they more often than others refuse or less often buy the goods they are used to, they have become less likely to go to the store and buy goods of a lower price segment.

The “reduction” strategy, characteristic of 13% of respondents, involves the purchase of goods according to a pre-compiled list, as well as the purchase of substitute goods while maintaining the quality of the selected products as much as possible.

The “replacement” strategy was chosen by 14% of Russians. Its adherents went to a store of a lower price segment, began to buy goods under the brand name of the store more often, as well as on promotions. It is positive that 58% of Russians do not adhere to any specific savings strategy, most often these are men whose financial situation has not changed over the past 2-3 months, and whose income exceeds the average for Russia.

If we talk about the moods and expectations of Russians regarding the current and future conditions in the consumer market, then they cannot be called optimistic. The index of the current situation is 68, the index of the expected situation is 87, which indicates the predominance of generally negative assessments in society regarding their present and future.

In particular, in the opinion of the majority of respondents, the assortment and quality of goods in stores have not changed (62% and 73%) and will not change (55% and 62%). As for prices, the Russians are voicing a well-known fact: prices have risen (89%) and, in their opinion, will continue to rise (77%). As for the financial situation, according to the respondents, it has worsened for 43%, and for 48% it has remained unchanged. Russians are more optimistic about their future: 32% assume that the situation will change for the better in the next 2-3 months, 20% think the opposite, according to 48%, their financial situation will remain the same.

Looking at the expectations and behavioral strategies of Russians, we can say that in the near future the mode of saving not only money, but also time will continue, respectively, more people will pay attention to various promotions and offers from retailers, which they are more willing to receive via SMS. messages (23% of respondents) or by mail, both electronic and regular (11% of respondents each).
