Otherwise, an excellent overview, which, if desired, can be easily increased to top values ​​and 1800 units of strength - the indicators are quite good.

However, we will start with armor penetration, which is enough to penetrate almost everyone and provides pleasant one-time damage.

The rate of fire is not very high, however, with a pumped-up crew, the right equipment and consumables, the average damage per minute comes out to around 3000 thousand, which is also a very good result.

Now let's talk about shooting comfort, and the highlight of the program in this case is accuracy, we have the best, there is simply no more accurate weapon. The Grille 15 tank destroyer was also endowed with amazingly fast aiming and good elevation angles; the gun tilts down by 7 degrees. But with stabilization, not everything is so good, although compared to other parameters this is a trifle.

In 1942, the German command ordered the development of self-propelled guns to begin on the basis of the new Panther tank. The vision for the future project was presented by Rheinmetall and Krupp.

1. Protection. The Grille 15 has no armor as such - the tank has a level 4 hull. Yes, armor is not needed at all, camouflage and speed are excellent. Moreover, the car should not take damage. The only thing is to be afraid of land mines, which can easily take a couple of crew members. But mobility with a cannon completely compensates for the lack of armor.

2. Firepower. This is precisely why players love “Grill” and opponents hate it. The 15 cm PAK L/63 gun is excellent in all respects: it has a shot of 750 units, average damage, and perfect accuracy. The projectile flight speed is 200 m/s. The main type of ammunition is AP with a penetration of 279 mm. A fully upgraded tank destroyer has an accuracy of 0.24 m per 100 m. In the game, there are only 4 combat vehicles in front of such a tank.

3. Dynamics. And here we can say: “Bravo.” The Maybach HL 234 engine has a power of 850 hp... This makes it possible to easily accelerate to 60 km/h. And the reverse gear didn’t disappoint – 15 km/h. And the rotation is 24° per second.

4. Detection. The overview of the grill has 390 meters. This is a good level for us. And if you install the “option” and upgrade the crew, it will become impressive – 400 meters. There is camouflage, and it’s quite decent. I recommend strengthening it with the camouflage skill. It wouldn’t hurt to install a “net” if you plan to sniper from Invis.

Crew leveling, equipment

What do we need to download? Camouflage, damage and improve other indicators.

For the commander– disguise, light bulb, military brotherhood, repair.

Loader– non-contact ammunition storage, repair, military brotherhood, camouflage.

To the gunner– smooth rotation of the tower, repairs, brotherhood, camouflage.

To the radio operator– radio interception, repair, military brotherhood, camouflage.

Regarding equipment, it is collected individually for each player. There are mainly 2 scenarios used for this tank destroyer in World of Tank: passive support (classic tank tank from cover) or active support (used by experienced gamers).

For active support you need: enlightenment, active support, aiming drives, filler. This assembly is effective when playing at close and medium distances.

You can replace the drives with other equipment, for example, “Camouflage Network”, “Horns”. And stay close to the collision site or drive with ST. We drive by, take aim, press LMB - done. It couldn't be simpler!

For passive support you will need: horns, filler, aiming drives. Our AT is reduced quite quickly, so “Horns” can be replaced with “Camouflage Net”, which I already mentioned.

We choose a convenient bush not far from a concentration of enemy equipment, disguise ourselves and begin to kill everyone. You will like this option if you like calm, measured battles and standard PT gameplay.

Shells. The Grill's ammunition load includes thirty shells. Distribute at your own discretion. It’s a good idea to carry a dozen cumulative rounds with you, since sometimes 279 penetration is not enough, especially on strong targets or long distances. The setup for playing in random shells is as follows: passive support - 18/10/2, active support - 20/8/2.

Equipment. Mostly you will have to choose the same thing, that is, a universal set. Feel free to take “auto-fire extinguisher” (or “chocolate”), “first aid kit” and “auto-fire extinguisher”.

Tactical Tips

You can play Grille 15 either as a sniper or as a support. The first option is understandable to most, but at the same time boring. You simply disguise yourself and wait for an unknown amount of time. Ultimately, it is unclear whether you will win or not.

The second option is much cooler and more dangerous. You skate on par with LT, ST, surprising your opponents by appearing in an unexpected place, mainly from behind. This infuriates the enemy incredibly. If there are a lot of allies nearby, head there, they will cover you.

This German tank destroyer will almost never miss. You just have to take cover seriously. You only need to shoot with full aim. It is also better to refrain from shooting while moving.

Playing Grille 15 must be done thoughtfully and with caution. Do not forget that this is a PT who does not tolerate careless treatment. Depending on the map, at the beginning of the battle, you take a position at a medium distance, wait for the enemy to be spotted by your allies, begin to attack, quickly retreating.

At the same time, do not hesitate to use positions for LT or ST. The main thing is that you always have the right to fire the first shot.

Always move carefully, do not forget, any exposure can be tragic for you.

Our main enemy is art, sometimes LT. We avoid being exposed to light for a long time and do not ride in a straight line.

Who does this and why is a conversation that will drag on for many hours. Today, here and now, I suggest you talk about the most imbalanced, easiest to learn and most infuriating tank destroyer in the game - meet - the top German tank branch Grille 15!

Historical reference

In the summer of 1942, the German command ordered the development of self-propelled guns based on the new Panther medium tank. Two companies presented their vision of the project within the framework of the assignment: Krupp and Rheinmetall. As armament options on the Panther chassis, it was planned to install a 128 mm K-43 gun or a 150 mm sFH 43 howitzer, respectively, the projects were named Grille 12 and Grille 15. They differed only in the type of installed artillery system. Later, the Grille 15 project was asked to install a 150 mm cannon with a barrel length of 63 calibers. Such a weapon had impressive penetration and initial projectile velocity, but also because of this, work on the project was greatly delayed, after which it was completely curtailed.

No prototypes were built. The tank was not mass produced and was not in service.

Analysis of tank performance characteristics

Detailed performance characteristics are in the screenshot below; here we’ll talk about the key characteristics of the machine.

Armor protection. There is no armor as such, because our hull is from a Tier VII tank. And why would it be if there is amazing speed and camouflage. Armor here would only be a burden. But for the sake of decency, I’ll mention that at the thickest point the “Grill” is 30 mm, and that’s from the forehead. Side: 16 mm, stern: 20 mm. That's all, you won't have much fun. But we shouldn’t be on the first line and take damage. We should be wary of any landmines, especially artillery ones, because... even lying next to us, it takes one or two crew members from us, and sometimes also crits modules. The lack of armor is fully compensated for by the gun and mobility of the tank, which are discussed below.

In terms of HP, Grille lags behind all its classmates and has 1,800 health units in its reserve.

Firepower. This is exactly what the owners of the “Grill” love and its opponents hate, which is why it received its offensive nickname “Rotten 15”. The 15 cm PAK L/63 gun, excellent in all respects, has an average damage per shot of 750 units and almost the best accuracy, comparable only to the Swedish Strv 103B. The reload time is also at the same level as other ATs. What this gun has going for it is its projectile speed of 1,200 m/s; APs don’t fly at that speed anywhere else in the game. Some AP shells do not have the same initial speed as the armor-piercing shells of our gun.

The main type of ammunition for our gun is AP with a penetration of 279 mm, which is enough in most cases. For everything else, there are premium cumulative weapons with a penetration of 334 mm and land mines with 75 mm of penetration and 950 average damage.

The gun's accuracy is 0.27 m at 100 m, mixing time 1.5 s- these are excellent results, but do not take into account all possible improvements. A fully upgraded tank with a good crew is reduced 1.23 s and has an accuracy level 0.24 m at 100 m. Reload time with a trained crew and without modules will be 18 seconds. At “full stuffing” we will charge in 14.83 s - a decent indicator. DPM with this setup will be about 3376 units, which is also good. There are only three or four cars ahead of us in DPM from the entire game.

The gun goes down by as much as 7°, which is surprising for such a caliber and barrel length, but it goes up by 15°, the total horizontal aiming angle is 100° - 50° each on the left and right. This is due to the fact that we have an incomplete rotation cabin.

Dynamics. Everything here is also excellent. Maybach HL 234 engine with 850 hp. accelerates our PT weighing 40 tons to 60 km/h forward. Reverse - 15 km/h, which is also convenient to use, for example, when changing position. The specific engine power is 21.25 hp/t. We rotate in place at a speed of 24°/s.

Detection. The visibility of the grill is 390 m - a good level, as for a PT. Provided that the crew is pumped up and “Optics” is installed, it will be a fairly impressive 460 m, which is enough to shine confidently. Because “Fan” cannot be installed here; the choice is between the following modules: “Optics”, “Stereo tube” or “Mask”. net". I do not recommend carrying the latter, because in my opinion it is an almost useless module. Where you are not seen with it, there is a high probability that you would not be seen without it, so we put any module for review to your liking.

The tank has camouflage, and it is quite good. It’s worth strengthening it with the crew’s skill of the same name and camouflage. If you still can’t wait to snipe from Invis, you can also install “Network”.

Selecting equipment, consumables and crew perks

Upgrading the crew We will upgrade the crew to deal damage, camouflage and improve other indicators:

Selection of equipment. We assemble the equipment individually for each player, but by and large the grill can be used in two scenarios: active support, which is suitable for experienced players; and passive support as a classic PT from the bushes.

Because our machine is already reduced very quickly, the drives can be replaced with other equipment according to your taste, for example, with “Horns” or “Mask. net". Everything here is not so simple - try to stay closer to the places of collisions with the enemy or even drive with ST, fortunately, the speed allows you to do this. You arrive, get out, aim for a second and press LMB - the recipe for success has never been so simple.

Play style "Classic PT":“Rammer”, “Aiming drives”, “Horns”, as I said above, the anti-tank gun is already reduced quite quickly, so you can replace the drives with “Mask. network" or other module at your discretion. Choose a bush that is more convenient, preferably closer to places where tanks gather in large numbers, disguise yourself and begin your dirty work. An ultra-precise gun will help you with this. This is an option for fans of standard PT gameplay and calm, measured battles.

Choice of shells. Our ammunition consists of 30 shells. How to distribute them is up to you, but I can recommend a couple of sets for playing at random. It is worth noting that 279 penetration is sometimes not enough, especially at long distances and on strong targets, so it is worth carrying with you a dozen cumulative bullets for shooting at them:

Shell setup for playing in random (BB/BP/OF):

  • "Active support" - 20/8/2
  • "Classic PT" - 18/10/2

Selection of equipment. Most often there will be the same thing here, what to do, this set is universal for any class of equipment: feel free to take repair kit, "first aid kit" And auto fire extinguisher, it can be replaced with “chocolate” to please the German tankers, but remember that the engine is in our forehead behind the thin NLD and tends to flare up at the most inopportune moment, especially if you are being exposed.

As I already said, you can play the grill as both support and sniper. The second option is more familiar and understandable to most players, but not as fun as the first. The bottom line is to occupy a bush, camouflage yourself and wait. How long to wait is unknown. Whether your expectation will help you win the fight is also unknown.

It’s much more fun, but more dangerous, to ride along with ST and LT on the map and surprise the enemy by appearing from unexpected places. This is what infuriates me the most. You stand there, stand there, not touching anyone, and suddenly from behind the LT’s back a “splash” comes to you for half your health. Few people will like this. But the point comes down to this: watch the map and the positions of the tanks on it. If you see that somewhere there are many allies who can cover you, feel free to go there and help them put pressure or cover them from enemy fire.

As they say in random, the grill never misses. In many ways this is true. Only after its introduction into the game did many people begin to take the choice of cover more seriously. After all, if at least a small part of your tank is visible between the stones behind which you stand, that’s it, consider that you do not have 750 HP. Most often this is what happens. This car is very toxic because... shoots most often from the Invis, and causes damage in 90% of cases. This is why they dislike her most of all and call her “Rotten-15”. It is impossible to counter it from afar, because it is almost always reduced and may not glow even in open space. There are often cases when such an AT can target your vulnerable spots on a tank from three hundred meters or more - but this simply shouldn’t happen! You should only shoot on the grill with full aim - this, by the way, is one of the strange features of the machine - you are a little under-aimed, and the projectile flies into the ground or anywhere. For the same reason, you shouldn't shoot while moving.

The old “imba”, which at one time was changed to a “grill”, also infuriated everyone, but had a huge cardboard tower that absorbed any projectiles flying at it. Those. it was possible to counter it without problems, as well as to oppose something to it. The grill is also very lightly armored, but it is much more difficult to penetrate it with a landmine or target vulnerable spots - it is quite small and compact, and drives very quickly. From afar, you shouldn’t even try to fire landmines at it - often the shell will explode on the external modules or on the cannon and will not cause any damage. At first, when it was just introduced, many tried to shoot land mines at the grill out of habit, but quickly realized that this was not worth doing. I still remember how on the first day after the introduction of E 100 he tried to kill me with a landmine and three times did not cause full damage, but because... Grille 15 has a much faster reload time than the TT, I killed him, although he came to me intact. So think about who is imbued and who is not.

Grilling needs to be done carefully and thoughtfully. This tank, like any Tier X tank, does not tolerate careless treatment. No, of course, after playing PYSH-PUSH-OLOLO you will cause some damage, sometimes even more than half the team, but you will also quickly go to the hangar. Here you should behave differently. At the beginning of the battle, depending on the map and setup, you take a position at medium distance and wait for the enemy to be spotted by your allies. You attack him and also quickly retreat. At the same time, do not hesitate to use positions for LT or ST, because speed allows (you will even overtake some, well, NOT a tank, yeah). The main thing is that you always have the right to the first shot. Those. took up a position, waited for light - their own or from the allies, fired, and ran away. And so on throughout the entire battle. If you see that the team is almost lost, but you still have HP, don’t even think about drowning or giving up! You alone in your car can turn the tide of the battle. This is where the time comes to play bush sniper. But not at the beginning of the battle, are you serious, are you going to stand on such a machine?

You should move carefully, because... any exposure in half the cases will end in the hangar. I don’t recommend standing in the field for the same reason. Our main enemy is art and in some cases LT. Do not drive in a straight line and avoid being in the light for long periods of time. In place, our PT rotates very reluctantly, and it turns as if on rails. Remember this, and if possible, pump out the “Virtuoso” driver.

Review of the advantages and disadvantages of the tank. Results

Advantages:

  • excellent accuracy of the gun;
  • excellent DPM;
  • phenomenal mixing speed;
  • good general mobility;
  • good firing range and decent air defense systems;

Flaws:

To summarize, I want to say that at the moment the tank destroyer is at the peak of its popularity, largely due to its outstanding characteristics, which overshadow all its disadvantages. Playing on it is as easy as shelling pears; even a not very good player will show results that are unlikely to be achieved anywhere else. A person who has the skill will be able to produce cosmic damage figures. That is why crowds of these tanks have filled the random lane and are not allowing other tanks to play. The car is certainly good, even too good, and I believe that such imbalanced technology should not exist. Fortunately, the developers also realized this and adjusted its characteristics. Let's hope that this will help and it will become easier to play randomly.

The prototype of the Grill 15 gaming machine from the Second World War was born in the summer of 1942 - it was then that the Directorate of the Armed Ground Forces of Nazi Germany signed a contract according to which the development of self-propelled guns on the Panther chassis began.

As a rule, players first of all upgrade the sixth sense skill for the commander. The rest of the crew will need camouflage, because the vehicle often receives critical damage during battle. Properly upgraded camouflage will allow you to escape from enemy light. Well, and, of course, it is necessary to research the military fraternity, as well as take care of non-contact ammunition and the skills necessary to improve the accuracy of the gun.

A few words about the equipment

We strongly advise players to install a rammer, which is capable of accelerating the DPM to incredible values. Reinforced aiming drives are also needed - thanks to this, Grille15 will be able to almost fully realize its potential. We advise you to take care of coated optics or a stereo tube - this will give you almost maximum visibility, preventing the enemy from approaching you unnoticed.

To summarize, it is worth noting that the Grille 15 is a very powerful machine with a lot of advantages, including the presence of a large alpha strike and excellent DPM.

With the release of patch 9.15, the German vehicle branch has undergone some changes, namely the replacement of the Waffenträger auf E 100 with the Grille 15.

Review of the German tier 10 tank destroyer – Grille 15

Grill 15 dates back to the summer of 1942, when the Office of the German Armed Forces signed a contract to develop self-propelled guns on the Panther chassis. With a low rate of fire, the average damage per minute can reach 3.5 thousand, which depends on the level of the crew. The main advantage was the shooting accuracy; there is simply no more precise weapon. And paired with comfortable UVNs and fast convergence, this PT becomes an almost ideal bender.
